Future Plans: After graduation, Marshall will travel with friends before spending one year in St. Paul, Minnesota volunteering for AmeriCorps. In the fall of 2018, Marshall will return to Penn to earn a Master’s degree in Robotics.

The Central Valley Education Foundation will award a $6,000 scholarship to a student (payable in the amount of $1,500 annually), renewable for four years. Applicants must attend Central Valley and maintain a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher and plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university.
The Mateer Memorial Scholarship has been established in memory of James Mateer and his sister-in-law Esther Mateer, who were both teachers in the Center Area School District. James and Esther were loyal teachers who were dedicated to the education of our youth. The Mateer Memorial Scholarship will provide up to $5,000 per year for four years for the selected student(s) who meet the qualifications for this scholarship.
