On December 27th, we gathered with educators, government officials, sponsors, and partners in Congo-Brazzaville for a special lunch focused on education. This event was more than a meal; it was a moment to share our vision, celebrate educators’ dedication, and introduce new tools to improve learning outcomes for children across the country.

Sharing Our Vision and Strategy
At the heart of the lunch was our vision: revealing every child's potential. We believe every child deserves access to quality education that opens doors to a brighter future. To achieve this, our strategy focuses on two main goals:
Providing access to education for children
Offering professional training and certification for educators
By improving teaching standards through training and certification, we aim to create a stronger foundation for learning. Educators are the key to unlocking children's potential, and supporting them directly benefits the entire community. Please see our Strategic Report 2026.
Launching the English Language Manual
One of the event’s highlights was the launch of our new manual, My First Words in English. This resource is designed to help young learners build basic English skills, which are increasingly important for child development and future career opportunities.
The manual is currently under review by INRAP (Institut National de Recherche et d’Action Pédagogiques), the Republic of Congo’s national institute responsible for research and educational innovation. INRAP’s role in regulating the national curriculum ensures that our manual aligns with national standards and supports the country’s educational roadmap.
The Role of English in Child Development
During the lunch, we discussed how learning English can accelerate child development. English is more than a language; it is a tool that expands access to knowledge, technology, and global opportunities. For children in Congo-Brazzaville, mastering English can open doors to higher education and diverse career paths.
Educators shared their experiences and insights on integrating English into their classrooms. They emphasised how early exposure to English builds confidence and curiosity in children, encouraging them to explore beyond their immediate environment.

Recognising Educators’ Dedication
We celebrated the hard work of educators by awarding certificates to those who participated in our aptitude test. This recognition highlights their commitment to improving their skills and delivering quality education.
Two lucky winners were selected at random to receive laptops. These devices will support their teaching efforts and help them access digital resources. This contribution acknowledges the challenges educators face and provides practical tools to enhance their work.
One head teacher who received a prize expressed heartfelt gratitude:
"I dedicate this award to all teachers who work day and night to awaken and enlighten minds, especially to colleagues who took part in this competition. Teaching is a noble but demanding profession. Initiatives like this should inspire the government to organize such events annually, motivating teachers to give their best. Thank you to Cornish Views Education Foundation for thinking of us."

A Gathering of Partners and Supporters
The lunch brought together dignitaries from the private and public education sectors, government representatives, sponsors, and NGOs. This diverse group shared a common goal: improving education in Congo-Brazzaville.
The event fostered valuable conversations about collaboration and future projects. It also strengthened relationships among stakeholders who play a vital role in shaping the country’s educational landscape.

Looking Ahead
Our educational lunch was a meaningful step toward building a stronger education system in Congo-Brazzaville. By supporting educators and introducing new learning materials, we are helping children unlock their potential and prepare for a successful future.
